Ideation on the staff forum?

What do you all think about us turning on ideation here, when it's ready? :)

Comments

  • Totally agreed. :)

  • You think we suffer from too few ideas? :dizzy:

  • I think I'd be cool. If only to self-market.

From a philosophical stand point-of-view...I think that transparency about why we do things could help with reinforcing our expertise and help us stand by our decisions with clients/prospects asking for this and that. To be fair though, I have much less experience with the kinds of crazy requests, answers and negativity that can come from this.

@linc, it's not that: it's a way for everyone to use our product &&& a clearer way to get feedback on product ideas :)

  • I think the only downside is us then having to (regularly) justify why we're not doing X, Y, Z. To be fair, that would suck to do constantly.

  • Tim tried turning on ideation on the support forum and it broke. The version of Vanilla that we use has been heavily customized over the years and sometimes doesn't behave like stock Vanilla.

@lvez, but this forum uses the regular stack, so it can work here :) I didn't want to just turn it on without asking :p

  • I think Ideation on this forum would be a solid addition, particularly for product feedback! :)

  • I guess no one agrees. I am scared to flip the switch without Linc being on-board.

  • I turned it on and added a category for Ideas.
