Social Connect: Can we assign roles based on sign in?

Partnerize would like to enable Linkdein social connect. That's eaisy enough to do but they would like to know if anyone who connects over Linkedin can be automatically assigned a role.


Can we do this? Do we have example of clients who have done this?

    I'm not currently aware of a way to do this, although it would interesting to not only do this, but also track which social logins people choose (also not possible currently :(

    Maybe one of the devs has a creative way, otherwise it would be a custom job, to add it maybe to ranks?

    No, you can't pass roles with a LinkedIn social connect login (I checked on mine, no way to pass a role that I can see).

    Pretty sure that when you use one of the social connect logins you have no control over the user base. The Social connect basically just verifies that you're the legit user of that email address.
