Feature Idea: Enhance Rich Editor to Support Hover-Gifs

Hover-gifs just seem like a cool, smart, modern way to do gifs and even images in discussion threads without cluttering up the page.
I don't know if anyone else is implementing anything like this, but I feel like this is really inline with our philosophy behind the rich editor.
gifs are usually to share some kind of emotion or reaction, it makes sense for them to be tied to a set of words instead of mic dropped onto the page.
