Can I add more tags to our repos?

I've been feeling like our categorization of our repo's issue can be a bit lacking especially while trying to search through older issue to find related things.

Example use case

I was searching for posts related to the advanced editor that could be considered to be closed when we make Rich Editor the default. I had to perform numerous searches that turned up results with a lot noise and not everything I was looking for.

I'd like to propose the following labels/epics that might make release notes a bit easier to put together as well.

Features

These could be either labels or Epics. I don't particularly care.

  • Moderation
  • Framework/DB
  • Framework/Routing

  • Email

Status

Some of these we already have but are marked as restricted to @Todd for automatic release notes. As he does not do release notes for Vanilla core, we should re-evaluate what we want to to with this.

    The only labels I currently care about are:

    • WIP
    • Hold
    • Backport
    • Backported
    • DB Update

    I'm fine with adding whatever labels you want, and I'm fine with ending the era of mass label syncing entirely. Perhaps we should update our tool to sync 1 label from 1 repo rather than mass-updating them all.
