He goes on to talk about the novelty of the Agile approach, which is fundamentally moving from "internal monologue" to needing to communicate ideas and justify everything you do.

He finishes with some points of what he thinks it means to move in a progressive direction on this and be a "good ancestor" in facilitating the transition.

This is as good a summary as any about what's happened at Vanilla in the past two years, and especially this year. Many, if not all of us, are doing this for the first time in our professional lives. It's been huge, and it's paying off.
