Move over, Myers-Brigg, here's a personality test I can get behind

Don't scoff, it's a really great article.

How the ‘Magic: The Gathering’ Color Wheel Explains Humanity

I've been reading about this indirectly for years but this is the first exhaustive explanation I've seen written that examines not only the colors individually but the really complex interactions between them.

Figure out what colors you are and post 'em. :chuffed: C'mon!

    Blue/Green/Red, yo. "Temur".

    What's funny is those have always been my favorite colors to play - like, since the first packs I opened in sixth grade. You have to drag me into a deck that has Black in it (like opening packs with overwhelmingly better cards in Black), and White I'm cool with but never pick it first. If I possibly can go Blue, I will, and then pick up Green or Red as my secondary.

  • Here's some educated guesses:

    @Ryan is White/Blue.
    @patrick_kelly is Green.
    @Todd is Blue/White/Black.
    @DaazKu is Blue/Black.
    @slafleche is Green/White/Blue.
    @Tim is Blue/Red.
    @Laura is Red.
    @Derrick is Green/White.

  • I'm Green 'cause I'm Irish? That's racism.

  • After having read it, Green? "My God, it's like you've known me all my life." (Simpson's reference). Also, black and blue for @DaazKu , nailed it.

  • Haven't read the article, but back in the day I played mostly blue/white and black decks :p.

  • +5 points on your Canadiana knowledge if you know what this is.

    I've watched multiple episodes. I believe PBS used to carry it in the States.

  • @linc what's your guess for @charrondev and @Isis ?

  • Must have been hard to guess!

    Jokes aside, you are spot on.

  • @BrendanParm is Red/Black/White.

    More challenging to guess folks the less time I've known them so I did the easy ones first.

    @charrondev is Blue/Green/Red.
    @franciscaisse is Red/Green.
    @danim is perhaps White/Green.
    @Isis is perhaps Blue or Blue/Red.

  • blue/red is the pairing that most typifies wild artistry and mad science

  • I feel like I lean White/Green or White/Red. Depending.

    I ran a pretty alright colorless artifact deck in high school. I wonder how the author would interpret that with his wheel.

    Artifacts themselves are every color's abilities but costed higher. If the year was ~2004/2005, I'd say it was a Green indicator because artifact decks were extremely popular after the release of Mirrodin in Oct 2003 and for a couple years after. The "conventional wisdom" , if you will. :chuffed:

  • Hm, that's a lot more myr thought then I put into it. I just figured the author would see it as an indecisive personality or a chaotic one.
