Spring Release

24 March: Q1-6 sprint ends.
28 March: Release to 4xx & staging with release notes.
11-12 April: Release to VIP production.

Summer Release

16 June: Q2-6 sprint ends.
20 June: Release to 4xx & staging with release notes.
11-12 July: Release to VIP production.

Fall Release

23 September: Q3-6 sprint ends.
26 September: Release to 4xx & staging with release notes.
17-18 October: Release to VIP production.

Winter Release

The winter release will be mid-January 2018, date TBD as part of our 2018 schedule.

    What we're doing to increase the stability of VIP releases in 2017:

    1. Longer QA timeframes.
    2. Additional QA resources assigned internally.
    3. Shared "smoke test" checklists in VIP repos (coming soon, as applicable).
    4. Fewer releases per year to conserve resource on both sides of the relationship.
