Quick Overview of the godaddy dashboard

The GoDaddy dashboard changes all the time, so please be aware that these screenshots are as of Sep/2020 and might not be exactly the same 6 months from now. One thing that hasnt changed much over the years is the DNS manager itself.


Get to the domain manager:

A-Records for Top Level Domains:

Here are the default settings of a domain. Generally the CNAME for www will already be pointing at the the top level domain ( @ ).

These are the fields that correspond with these instructions. See that CNAME already has the @

Here are the values when properly changed. The additional a record was added using the "Add" Option below the list.

Check: https://www.whatsmydns.net/:

When populated. Add to dashboard:

When entered, you'll get this option. After a few minutes, refresh. It'll give you another button to "activate" click that.

Whatever browser you already had open to refresh the page will probably serve this, still:

Clear your cache and check again (incognito or different browser should work as well)
