Due to being out of the office next week, the following newsletter is being published on Friday (today)

Blog Was Offline

The blog was offline Monday Night and much of Tuesday Morning. Tim to the rescue, and HubSpot gets an "F".

Dev Meeting
@Ryan said he would be publishing notes about weekly meetings. Until that's done here are a couple of things that were covered

  • New accessibility docs from @slafleche
  • Many software enhancements (i.e bug fixes): Groups url naming, email confirmation issue, autorole by email, date last active and visit counts, auto signout timer. Many many more from the team! Thanks all :)

Pet of the Week
Here is a look at the cats of @slafleche

"Rouky (right) was my first cat. He likes to stay perched on my shoulder. The way he purrs kind of sounds like a pigeon... I think he was a bird in another life.
Spock (left) was my second cat, but he was 2 when I adopted him. He's very demanding when he wants attention. He'll complain if you stop petting him until he's met his quota and then leaves."

Website Changes
From @luc

Some small tweaks to the website going live now.  Biggest visual change is that we are not using background images for the page hero areas. Instead we are using a textured background.  That might now clash with some landing pages and blog pages. Still using a background image for the home page, just not the sub-pages. Other changes:  consolidation of some features pages,   new downloads on the industry pages, and updates to the showcase.

GDC 2018
@ben_harper, @JoeF and I are out of the office the week of March 19th

Marketing Seat Changes
There have been some seat re-arrangements in the marketing space. Alok and I have swapped places. Ben and Sharon are sitting closer together.

Comments

  • Added a bit about the new website changes, now going live. Thanks to @luc :)

  • I, personally, think the Marketing Seat Changes need to be accompanied by a detailed diagram.

    @Laura I can't draw very well :p

  • I worked at a company that had a flash app that showed a diagram of where everybody was seated. You could do a search for a person and it would show you where they were on the floor plan!

    @Laura ^^

  • I'm missing a plant in the chart. :anguished: Glad it was helpful though.
