Dev Update
These are secret things from the lab. Do not share.

  • @DaazKu shared the Vanilla Docker project. Makes development much easier for Vanilla. Used by clients for themes or more. It's also open source. Linux and Mac only for now.
  • Stub SSO providers - test SSO solution much easier. Oauth2, jsConnect, vanillaconnect and Vanilla Docker.
  • Redoing Oauth2, new authentication points. Normal connection is "entry connect" or "password connect". New end point, will be authenticate.
  • Q &A has been added to API V2 - Create and Update Questions and Answers via API.
  • @charrondev gave an update on the new editor -- showed a new paragraph editor. Missing the spoiler function, but it's being worked on.
  • New editor with video player embed, uses a neutral play
  • New embeds coming, not dynamic yet, but should be ready for next sprint.
  • Cut and paste from things such as Google docs -- tables not planned in the initial release
  • Keyboard shortcuts
  • New emoji picker, showed off fallback
  • Ideation has been added to API v2
  • New look for ideation sorting to be consistent with category following
  • @charrondev shared the Hero image plugin -- Attach an image to a category. There is a doc now too. Payoneer is using it.
  • Advanced search enhancements shown by @Ryan
  • Analytics view permission showed by @Ryan
  • Bug fixes shared by @DaazKu - Fix for RoleTracker (remove tag of tracked role easier)

Pet of the Week

@SharonR 's Cat. As Sharon tells me: "Luna is 8 months old and we got her at the SPCA. She is talkative and energetic and loves to be loved. Even though she's an indoor cat, she insists to spend time on the balcony daily. I never was a cat person.....but I love my cat. "

Cool Community of the Week

I saw http://forum.autocab.com/ and thought it looked great how they have a beautiful homepage. Breaking out Ideation, Product Roadmap, Knowledge base and discussions. Apparently they did it themselves :open_mouth: They make software for the Taxi industry.
