Hello Friends!

Welcome to the 2nd edition of "The Week That Was". Thanks for all the feedback... now on with the stuff you may have missed from last week (or things to look forward to)...

Nice Little Fix

A little new upgrade to our YouTube embed was worked on by @linc and @Ryan that helped one of @shaunamcclemens customers: Now YouTube related videos will not show at the end of the videos. Also, quite exciting is that the start time of a video will also now work with double digits. High fives all around!

Coffee Grinder Update

The new coffee grinder has finally been properly calibrated and is running quite smoothly. Thanks to @Derrick and friends.
The water cooler on the first floor is still struggling. But @kaci is on the case :)

From the labs of coming soon


In case it was not clear, confidential for now :)

The following is a sneak peak of what's coming to the product. No screenshots, sorry -- but trust me it's GREEEAAAAT!

  • @slafleche and Ryan showed off the following of categories which is a work in progress. Community members will be able to filter discussions on the categories they care about. It will also have an API endpoint.
  • Stephane and @charrondev showed off a basic version of the new editor coming. A much more intuitive editor.
  • Todd showed off a new version of the embedding coming to the editor, which offers a much cleaner way to embed images, videos and webpages.

Fun and Games

@mel got a rare card in Mortal Kombat X (mobile game). It's fun. You should play too ::chuffed:

Linc's Three Important Things You Should Know

  • HackerOne slated to go public Feb 7.
  • 2.5.1 about to be release to open source, which is our first synced open source + cloud security patch in ages.
  • We're hiring a new data migration specialist to let Frank transition to the dev support team
