How To Access SFTP
This discussion has a more recent version.
Occasionally, we'll need to share files (usually exports) with our customers. We do this using SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol). Here are instructions that can be passed to clients, explaining how to access their files via SFTP.
SFTP Information:
- Host: exports.v-fabric.net
- Port: 22
- Username: {USERNAME}
- Password: {PASSWORD}
How to connect to the SFTP:
- Download and Install FileZilla - Open FileZilla - Enter the address of the server in the field Host, located in the Quickconnect bar. - sftp://exports.v-fabric.net - Enter your username - Enter your password - Enter the port number - Click on Quickconnect or press Enter to connect to the server. - Click OK when you get a warning about an unknown host key.
FILES UPLOADED TO THE EXPORTS SERVER ARE AUTOMATICALLY PRUNED 7 DAYS AFTER THEY'RE UPLOADED. CREDENTIALS ARE ALSO SINGLE USE, AND ARE PRUNED 14 DAYS AFTER BEING CREATED.
The actual credentials can be found in the Exports section of 1pass. Avoid passing these instructions and client credentials in the same email.
