Disable Events Feature

The Bump will not be using Events however they do use Groups extensively and so are wanting to disable Events without affecting Groups. Other than hiding the Upcoming Events section on all Group pages and restricting the Add Event permission, is there a way to disable Events within the Config?

I believe we have a feature request to be able to disable Events with a toggle on the roadmap but would there be something that we can do in the interim?

    @SheenaP The solution right now is to remove the Events Add permissions for users. If you don't create events, events won't appear.

    @ValR the Events section still appears in Groups even if the Member does not have the permission to create Events and there are no Events created. This is what appears

    Oh you mean Group Events. It can be donee by CSS for now, but we'll need to think about that as an option if/when we redo the group pages, but it's not a priority right now.
