Apparently popular brands of webcams are sold out everywhere, people are buying photography lighting to make themselves look better in video conferences, and there's now a background noise cancellation startup. I love it!

Today I'm working on my desk but I work on my husband's desk a lot... his chair is more comfortable :D (I'm waiting for my new one!)

I definitely didn't use this opportunity to clear all the clutter from my desk.
And the other part of my office that I sometimes work in (housemate is "re-organizing" during the lockdown, so it's currently a disaster)

It use to be next to this Onion headline that I have framed, but I think Val or Laura commented that having a newspaper behind my head covered in swears probably wouldn't be the best look if I got on a video call with a client. Now it's on the opposite wall, far away from my webcam.

Took this a couple weeks ago. It's still pretty accurate though Zach has since stolen a few items since coming home, like my snowball. The paper lamp is a casualty of my cat, it looked at him funny one day, I guess.
I thought I would take the title for most screens but I can see that @Rhys also has the side laptop.

Here's my desk setup, however Carine needs the extra monitor more than I do so I'm current on the couch.

@Rhys its a razer tartarus. It a gaming device (and I use it for that) but its main function is to unify my hotkeys between different art programs (Photoshop/Clip Paint). I'm not a huge fan of razors look, but I've had good luck with their device quality so far.
@SaadTawfiq pretty amazing animations in the original game! The prints are from this guy: https://twitter.com/FRENDEN/media who has very clean ink work I admire.
If the image was a little sharper I could probably turn my desk into a scavenger hunt. Happy to elaborate on anything else ?️

My girlfriend just started reading the compendium of the 3 first volumes of the Drizzt saga. As she tells me about it, It's astonishing how much of it I still remember, even 20 something years later. ?

@Laura thanks. My son had the opposite razer experience. He got a razer mouse and keyboard because he thought they were cool looking but they both fell apart / stopped working within six months. Now he's partial to something called RedDragon which are about a third the price and haven't fallen apart on him yet. I'm happy with my 20 button Logitech G600 and Wave keyboard that's over a decade old, maybe even two.

In my previous life I sold (and offered warranty service.... ) on hundreds of Razer products. I came to the conclusion they where very good products functionality wise, but that some specific parts of their product lines would have weirdly high QA issues - like, order ten mice and nine fail. But then order 10 of the same mice 3 weeks later, they all work forever. So if you get one that works - great!
This was a few years back - hopefully they have improved their QA since then

Did anyone's home office situation get updated over the last year?

I definitely didn't have a good chair or a rug a year ago, and was facing West, but I really feel it's come together now.
