Kurling For Kids 2020
Hello Everyone,
Once again I will be taking part in a charity event through an organization called Kurling For Kids that raises money for the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Fondation CHU Sainte-Justine and Fondation CHU Sherbrooke.
Last year the organization raised $ 455 000 which resulted in a Functional MRI (Year 2 of 2) + NeuroBlate MRI System Laser Neurosurgical (Year 3 of 4). This year the goal is 500K.
Myself and few buddies raised some funds and participated in the event though we are not curlers at all and it ended up being really fun.
Like last year, I will be selling raffle tickets to help raise funds for this great cause. You can see a list of the prizes here:

- Each ticket is $ 5.00
- I can accept cash or can work out an e-transfer with you if that's easier.

- You can also buy directly online and select me as your fundraiser and I will coordinate with you to get you the tickets.
Donations:
If you don't want to buy raffle tickets you can also simply donate to the cause online. Donations greater than $ 20.00 receive tax receipt.

Hey Everyone!
We still have plenty of time to raise money but I just wanted to bump this up again for your general awareness. Please let me know if you would like to buy some tickets either electronically or by cash.

Why this is so important to me? My niece, Ella, has a rare genetic disorder called Episodic Ataxia type 1. It's a neurological disorder that causes distonic storms, seizures, dizziness, warping of muscles and bones, and requires special medical devices and care to ensure quality of life. She has special provisions in school to support her throughout the day. Last year alone, she had over 50+ medical appointments with various doctors and specialists at the Montreal's Children's Hospital, one of the beneficiaries of this fundraiser.
If you met her when she is not having storms, she is a normal-looking 9 year old that loves to dance and enjoys her LOL dolls. She is able to do this because of the constant medical care she receives from this hospital and the countless professionals that help her.

Hello Everyone,
Just a quick update from me. Unfortunately the actual curling event on March 28th is cancelled due to the whole Covid-19 thing. That said, we're still raising funds for these causes and they might really need our help when it's all said and done given the circumstances.
You can donate direclty online or purchase tickets. If you purchase tickets I will coordinate with you to at least have an image of the ticket which has the reference number. The fundraisiing officially goes into early April so there's still time left for those interested.
