JS Connect - Passing Over Username

Our SAML documentation in Success describes that if the username is a duplicate name or not provided, it will send the user to a “Connect” page so they can provide a valid, unique username.

Will the same happen in JSConnect? is it possible to send over a payload without the username in jsConnect?
