Would this be technically possible via customize theme

Talking to someone and they're looking to do their own theme but were wondering if its possible to make the discussion list look like this:

I suppose it's essentially like that tiled discussion display that Acer did.

This would be done through customize theme and doing it themselves.

    I can't read what's in the Blue circles. Are they categories?

    They are discussions. It's the discussion list view. My hunch is that this is not possible via customize theme as it would require a view override but I wanted to double check my assumption.

    I would ask our front end developers if it is possible to transform using CSS only. @slafleche ?

    If it's a yes/no, is it possible question, I think I could do it, so yes. (It would take me a while)

    That doesn't mean it should be done or we should suggest, or advise a Prospect to do it. It would be a lot of work, using the API, CSS, and some front end skill. I wouldn't recommend it.
