Infosec Poll: Do you use external drives for Vanilla work?
One possible thing (no decision made yet) we could do security wise is lock down external drives (USB flash drives / external hard drives). In order to make an informed decision, I want to know who is currently using external drives so please answer the poll and feel free to comment further :)

I've always thought USB/thumb drives were kind of cool, but I've really never found a good use for them. Other than installing an OS, they just seem so useless.

I found them super useful back when the internet was really slow, but in todays world they really feel like more hassle than they are worth!

As soon as Backblaze is confirmed I can stop using mine. I have the anti-super power of killing external hard drives anyway.

+1 What Todd said. I used my drive to do backups.

I said no that I don't use it. However, we (marketing) do leverage Rokus and other media hubs for trade shows. If there is an easy way for us to port auto playing presentations to these devices without using USB drives, I'm open.

I use an external drive for backups on an encrypted volume. I do keep some personal stuff on my laptop. Since we can't restore items from Backblaze without ops intervention, that external drive is probably a better option for those things.

I am probably an edge case and need to buy my own laptop at this point anyway.
