Fullstack NYC conference
@Ryan and I attended this conference last week in NYC. It was a great conference, mostly focussing around Javascript in browsers, servers, and IoT devices.
One of the great things about this conference is that the host, SkillsMatter, puts up videos that cut between the speaker and the slides by the time the conference is over. I'll embed here the link to the list of all of the videos. You'll need to make a free account to watch them.
All of the videos, called "skillcasts" in their marketing can be found here for the conferences. I'll be listing the talks I found interesting with short summaries and links to the video if anyone else is interesting.

Top level Top-Level Awaiting for Godot
This was an awesome talk, easily my favorite of the conference. It given by a Google Engineer who is a maintainer of Node.js, and is a delegate to the TC39 working group. He talks through a somewhat contentious language feature, top-level await, and walks through
- The history of asynchronous calls in javascript.
- Some overall information about the ECMA module system.
- The process of getting a feature to become a part of the language. w/ 4 stages.
