New hiring software

Vanilla Forums
edited May 2019 in General

We recently invested in new hiring software to help us find and vet candidates more efficiently. As of today, our careers page is pulling jobs from that software, Lever, and displaying them dynamically: https://vanillaforums.com/en/careers/

Soon, a whole new careers page will be going live that better highlights our company and organizes the job listings. Elisa and Isis are working on that right now.

We have 3 great new features available to you:

1. A dedicated internal job site: https://hire.lever.co/jobs/internal (currently this is identical to our external listings, but may differ in the future if we want to hire internally for a position).

2. An official referral form: https://hire.lever.co/referrals/new

3. If you're asked to participate in an interview, you will now give your feedback directly in this system rather than email or Slack. This builds a comprehensive candidate profile.

You can access all of these by signing in to Lever with your Vanilla Google account.

If you have any questions about the system (or any suggestions after you use it as an interviewer), please let me know! We're doing a lot of configuration work right now and it will be an iterative process to make it work right for us.

Comments

  • If you have referred a developer to me in the last few months, I would greatly appreciate it if you used the referral form above to add them to Lever. I have to do a tremendous amount of data entry to migrate candidates over and that would help a lot. Thanks!

  • Good question I got: "Is there a policy against referring a family member?"

Nope! There's no option for that in the Relationship dropdown, but you can use "Friend" or "Other" at your preference and make a note in the comment box if you'd like to let us know.

  • If you're concerned, we have indeed confirmed the referral form is working, and it generates an email notification to the hiring manager.
