HMD Global (Nokia) - Ability to invite others to forum (and reward inviter with gamification)
HMD Global (Nokia) is looking for some way to allow users to invite others to the forum and to reward them with gamification (points or badges) for doing so.
They are using SSO, so not sure if they would be able to use the 'invite' mechanisms in conjunction with that to help them track this.
I know that with the regular invitation method, you can see that (for example) shaunatest user #4 invited user "inviteduser1"
Not sure if would make sense to use any of this data, or just for them to do it from scratch with their own SSO set up.
Anyone have a set up like this for other communities they can share?
Or advice in general?

For what it's worth, Qualtrics has a community member referral program. What they do is since they don't pass usernames, new users that register are prompted with a set of profile extender questions. One of the questions is providing the full name of the community member that referred them.
They then run the utility/exportprofiles report once in a while and keep track of it manually. They only have about 3k registered members so they can run that report themselves for quite some time.
I am not sure you can use invite with SSO so you might need to test that out. My gut tells me no as the invitation method implies registering through Vanilla rather than using SSO. I am not sure if it's just a case of auto-connecting via SSO to your account once you registered via Invitation method however.
