Embedding and AngularJS??
I have a new client, Wheels Up, who I am trying to convince not to embed. I have shared with them the blog post, as well as Adam's thoughtful post from the theming FAQ.
They are still pretty dead set on embedding:
We’re working on a POC to embed the Vanilla forums in our apps. We’ve got the authentication portion working. However, we’ve run into an issue with routing. We use AngularJS on our web platform, this framework uses # for routing requests and it looks your framework does too, which is causing conflicts. Do you guys have clients who have embedded your forums on an angular site? Do you have recommendations on how to get around this?
Does anyone have any comments on this??

The more I hear about this the worse it sounds.
It sounds like their trying to take our embedded forum and slap it into an old web app of theirs. Fundamentally I really don't see how they could get around the conflict of them trying to route our embedded pages while also using hash routing themselves.
Maybe they could hack around it using our advanced embedding. Maybe. But
- It would be worthless from an SEO perspective.
- It would be very fragile. If I were a betting man I'd wager it would be very likely to break in future releases.
