Derrick's in my dreams

I had a dream last night that I got fired by Derrick. Apparently I'm not the only one. @Andrew_D also had a dream about Derrick. Two cases is officially a trend and deserves a thread.

  • The hitman, who definitely is not me and who I have never been in contact with, would be tracked down and brought to justice.

So if I read between the lines correctly Andrew is already dead when that happens.
You don't bring someone to justice for intents.

  • To be fair to Dream Me, a hitman email chain at Vanilla would be one of the least surprising things you could forward me at this point.

My dream was crazy. I think I ended up telling everyone about it, but if not, here it goes.

It happened a few days before the last Montreal trip (I think). In the dream, I was working at my computer when I got accidentally cc'd in a LOOOOONG email between Derrick and a hitman he had hired to kill me. The thing was like 60 messages long. I remember skimming in the dream, thinking it was a joke at first but then starting to get really worried. Derrick has never been anything but nice to me, so I had no idea why he would want to have me killed.

One of the last couple of messages was the hitman unsure of where I lived (I had literally just moved) and there was a response by Derrick of him cursing out the hitman - saying stuff like "I hired you to do a job. Do I have to do everything myself?!" It was intense.

In the dream, I sent the email to Laura to be like: "What the heck?!!! What should I do?"

And Laura, literally one of my oldest friends , responded with: "I dunno, man. I guess you could tell Tim if you wanted." Completely nonchalant. Not seeming concerned at all that one of our co-workers had hired an assassin to come after me. It kinda made me feel like Laura might have been in on it, but I wasn't sure.

I was trying to think the best way to broach the subject with Tim (I don't know why I didn't call the cops. #DreamLogic) when I woke up for my actual shift in which I had no scary messages from Derrick waiting for me.

You know... MAYBE @Laura seemed nonchalant because she IS the hitman (or rather hitwoman).

I could hear @Laura as I read this. I'm picturing nonchalant, subtle shoulder shrug that goes with it.
